For me it’s usually my glasses (such a cliche). And the simmering fury that builds as I try in vain to locate them… I take it very personally these days when things hide from me. It feels… deliberate.
Ha - timely. Today I lost my car key in east London. Must have fallen into one of a dozen densely packed huge council bags of leaves as I was stacking more leaves from my shared garden into them.
Had to take a train to Cambridge to get the spare car key. Now I’m heading back to London with it, to move the car which by the way got a parking fine as the ‘business’ bay sign was concealed …by yes, leaves. Grrrr!
I LOVE the Ancients - I was doing exactly this just the other day (well, a tiny little screw, instead of a toothpick but hey…if I could draw that’s what I’dve drew…)

Me and my bloody earpods every half day.
Made me chuckle, thanks :) For me it's my phone. It's my husband's duty to know where my phone is in any given moment :D

Oh dear Bridget! :( that’s very typical of the behaviour of leaves around this time of year…
