Wishy Washy
I’m back from the Art Fair, which was great. I’m not resting on my laurels, I promise; The Ancients are on my mind, but I haven’t had a moment to get back to them and share what they’re up to. In lieu of new strips, this week and next I will share some older cartoons, and a few behind the scenes glimpses of my studio to keep you entertained. I hope that’s ok.
Dishwashers, and the correct loading thereof, feature heavily in my solo work and in Guardian cartoons of old by me and Mr Wyse. A few of those outings you’ve already seen, but here they are gathered together in one place…
I know we’ve discussed colanders before, and clearly their place in the dishwasher is a heavily debated topic. I can’t say for sure why I return to them in my prints so regularly, but they are pleasing to draw. And use. And wash up. By hand.

These two I’ve shared before, so apologies for that - but both contain reference to colanders in dishwashers in a negative sense.
Look out for more dishwasher nonsense in the future - it’s not as though we have anything more important to worry about. Here finally is an early Ancients strip with some relevance to the topic of the day.

I’ve never seen this older Ancients panel before and so, like NBC used to say, if you haven’t seen it before it’s new to you.
So many chuckles in this one!!! Thanks!
